2010-2011 Philadelphia Cornflower Queen and her Court

The Steuben Day Observance Association is proud to announce the 2010-2011 Philadelphia Cornflower Queen and her Court. This year’s court consists of Miss Nicole Gallagher, Cornflower Queen; Miss Christina Brenner, First Princess; Miss Jamie Pfrommer, Second Princess; and Miss Lyla Lenyo, Third Princess. Please join us in congratulating these young ladies as they begin their duties as ambassadors for the German-American community at various festivities around the Philadelphia region throughout the year.

This year's German-American Steuben Parade will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010, where the Queen and her court will lead the parade as it marches down Frankford Avenue in Mayfair in Northeast Philadelphia. More information about the Parade can be found at http://phila.steubenparade.com.

This year’s queen selection contest took place at German-American Day celebration in June. The Association would like to thank the approximately 1000 guests that came out to celebrate their heritage at the Vereinigung Erzgebirge. The day began with a special ceremony commemorating the Berlin Wall. The Verineigung Erzgebirge is the only organization in the Philadelphia region that has a piece of the actual Berlin Wall in its possession. If you missed the event, you can find pictures in our scrapbook.
