About Us
The
Steuben Day Observation Association of
Philadelphia and Vicinity is a non-profit (501(c)3) organization
dedicated to preserving German-American Ethnic Heritage and Pride
and keeping the cultural bridge between German-speaking countries
and the United States of America alive.
It was founded in 1968, to commemorate and honor the accomplishments
and contributions of General Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, who
trained the Continental Army in Valley Forge and aided the American
Colonies to win the Revolutionary War, and the countless Americans of
German-speaking ancestery that have followed that shaped this
country. The Association is comprised of a dedicated
